An apartment.
Light across the floor. A room belonging to someone else. You are already naked, not with urgency but with a strange attention to the body itself. Wax. Skin. The unfamiliar smoothness of a surface altered. A small transformation observed without judgement.
Another body enters.
Your friend is naked too. There is no drama in it. No revelation. He simply moves through the room as though the body requires no explanation.
It is only you who reaches for concealment.
The shame arrives without an audience.
Outside, blue light.
A queue of young people stretches along the street towards a police-organised disco. Faces suspended between childhood and whatever comes after. Waiting. Belonging. Becoming.
You move through them carrying a strange distance. Not rejection. Not superiority. Simply the feeling of having arrived somewhere after the moment of arrival has already passed.
A question appears.
Do you really want to be here?
You keep walking.
The street loosens into harbour.
Salt. Rust. Water holding the memory of departures. Harbours are always places between things. Neither land nor sea. Neither leaving nor returning.
Your companion enters the water. The body becomes movement. Stroke after stroke towards the pontoon waiting in the distance.
You remain at the edge.
Not hesitation.
Attention.
A possibility beneath the surface. Shark.
A single word changing the geography.
Beyond the deeper water, beneath the cliff, you notice another place. A reef. A shallow pool where the sea gathers itself before becoming something larger.
You enter there.
The body turns onto its back. Frog kick. A slower rhythm. Not conquest. Not crossing. A movement between worlds.
Notitia Health explores the meeting place between dream, psyche and the unseen landscapes of experience. Through contemplative inquiry, symbolic imagination and the art of attention, we return to the images that ask not to be solved, but encountered.
